Haworth Fairtrade Group have a reputation for putting on a 'good do' !

We are the first Fairtrade Village in the World, the 8th place after Garstang where it all began. There are now over 1000 Fairtrade places covering 20 Countries, an impressive number of people all calling for a fairer trading system.

Who can forget, 'Chocolat' with Joanne Harris and the cocoa farmers from Ghana, John and Yoko in the Peace Bed, Mikron Theatre with 'Reaping the Benefits' and the wonderful 'Chuffin Fair' in the engine shed of the Keighley and Worth Valley Steam Railway.All these events brought the community together and we were encouraged to go further.

Fair Intents is a much more ambitious project but we are a dedicated and enthusiastic bunch and have a huge amount of support. An Ecofair is just what Haworth has needed and our close relationship with the Bronte Parsonage has given us the opportunity to stage what will be an educational, informative and fun event for everyone.
